What the calculators do with your dates

The ovulation and due date calculators work entirely from values submitted in the page address. They are calculated when the page renders and are not written to any database, log store or analytics event that we control.

Because the values sit in the URL, a results page can be bookmarked or shared — which also means anyone with that link can see those dates. If you are on a shared device, clearing your browser history clears them.

Given how sensitive cycle and pregnancy data is, this is a deliberate design choice: we would rather not hold it at all than hold it carefully.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie, set only when you submit the contact form, to protect that form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies.

The contact form

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your email address and your message. We use them to reply and to act on corrections, and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list — there isn't one. Ask us to delete your message and we will.

Server logs

Our web server keeps standard access logs — request path, timestamp, browser user agent and IP address — for security and troubleshooting. They are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you or combined with anything else.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you, and to complain to your data protection authority. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is a contact-form message. Email [email protected] and we will action it.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
